Prestonpans Battle Tapestry Research Visits

The Trust has undertaken extensive field- to ensure its Prestonpans Tapestry is signed off across the French and Highland communities involved and where possible that local voluteer embroidery stitchers are found. The researches included a Residency/ Symposium at Borrodale House, Arisaig from September 12th/ 17th 2009.  The record of the visits made is given below:

The Tapestry website contains all details of its creation and its Highlands Parade on the 265th anniversary of the Prince's journey in 1745- linked HERE. It was completed for 'Private Viewing' by all the Stitchers in Prestonpans on July 26th 2010. A CD [Greentrax] of contemporary music and a DVD [Eric Robinson] of its creation were then published in parallel with the definitive full colour Official Guidebook [Burke's Peerage with Prestoungrange University Press].
