Gothenburg Wins East Lothian New Enterprise of 2005 Award

Very Proud to be a Success for the Community

It was a great delight for Anne Taylor, CEO at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg, to receive the top award for 'new' enterprise in the county at the Awards Dinner held in the Thomas Nelson Suite on November 18th. As she immediately said when accepting the trophy and a cheque for £500, from Provost Pat O'Brien, it was and is a 'team' thing. The top team she leads of Steven Cross as Events Manager, Andrew Lawrie as Chef, Craig Allen as Head Brewer, Adele Conn as Montjoye, Chantal Graham as WebMaster and Lynn Drummond as Management Accountant is frankly outstanding. Together they have given the Pans back its historic/ iconic Gothenburg community hub. They offer oustanding hospitality service and have recreated fine ales in the Pans for the first time in more than 40 years.

Lord Lieutenant Garth Morrison, Westminster MP Anne Moffat, and many distinguished guests were also in attendance.

A 'Celebration Day' for everyone [not just the senior team but also the 20+ others who work at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg as well] is scheduled one Monday towards the end of January that will include a visit to the other award winner on the night, East Links Family Farm. [The Prestoungrange Gothenburg will close for the day!] They took the award for best 'ongoing' enterprise with over 100,000 visitors last year, having won the 'new' enterprise award just 2 years ago.
