Community Council Looking for Ideas to spend £20,000
Lidl's Donation to Prestonpans Much Appreciated
It was quite a well kept secret until the Community Council Meeting last week that Lidl's, who opened a new store last year on the far eastern end of High Street, had donated £20,000 to the community. The public notice and call for ideas of how to spend it ironically came at the same meeting as the further call for Lidl's to agree to sell the Coeval premises, the former Fowler's Brewery HQ, to the Arts Festival in town; and for it to be listed by Historic Scotland.
Here's hoping they agree. The Arts Festival is brimming with Hope and Ambition ..!
