CAMRA – The Campaign for Real Ale

The true heroes of real ales in Britain today are those who formed the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and fought the good fight for almost half a century as wave upon wave of mergers threatened almost every small brewer.

Fowler’s Ales today salutes all CAMRA’s members and cordially invites them to visit at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg and sample our own modest contribution to the nationwide campaign. And when you visit please always identify yourselves and definitely let us all know:

how you like our ales
what specials or improvements you might like to taste in future
that you will come again and bring your friends
that you’ll pass the word of recommendation far and wide – if we have met the standard you expect!

We are especially proud to have been party to the CAMRA/ English Heritage Award for Best UK Conservation Pub in 2005 - at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg where our brewery is located. And then to play our role as a real ale brewer in helping The Prestoungrange Gothenburg to win the CAMRA Award as Lothians Pub of The Year 2006
