Community Council insists 'new' Eastern Gateway must be fitting for the Pans

Whatever happens next at the Auld Fowler's HQ site had better be 'good'

The press cuttings below say it all. Rules may be rules, but rules can be wrong and no matter what any set of rules might say, they will be challenged by the Community Council unless ... well unless any new proposals do serious very considerable justice to the town's Eastern Gateway.

Elsewhere on the political scene of late there have been more than enough instances of refuge seeking behind unsociable 'rules' that in practice are designed to dis-empower local communities and frustrate democratic processes.

If necessary, the Arts Festival and Community Council are pledged to a Freedom of Information application covering the entire sorry process that led to the outrageous demolition of the Auld Fowler's HQ.
