The Dean Tavern - A Gothenburg Experiment

1894 map of Newton Grange showing the village of Cowden Grange (built 1881) to the south.
A block of six houses built in 1872 by the Lothian Coal Co. Originally part of Cowden Grange, it then became part of Monkswood and finally, in 1912, became part of St. Davids.
Part of Deanpark, the oldest of the Lothian Coal Co. building schemes. It was begun in 1898.
