Prestonpans Re-enactments: Saturday September 21st from 10 a.m./ 4 p.m.
2019 is a quieter year than 2018!
As most will know by now, the Prestonpans full scale re-enactments now take place every third year - the progamme is shared with Dunbar [1650] - this year's big focus, and Pinkie Cleugh [1547].
But let it not be said that The Prince's Victory is overlooked! There are activities all day 21st September from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. The Guided Battlefield Walk is being offered of course [you can take it unaided at any time using the APP prestonpans1745] and there is a memorial plaque to be unveiled at Tranent Churchyard to Colonel Gardiner.

There'll be much talk of 2020 too …
Next year wont see a grand battle re-enactment but a focus on the cultural aspects of the Victory. That's how the Trust plans ambitiously to commemorate three key anniversaries: The Prince's 300th birthday; the 275th Anniversary of his Victory; and the 10th Anniversary of the completion of The Prestonpans Tapestry.
