Bengal Silks & Glenkinchie

Dolphinstoun, Prestoungrange, Lady Prestoungrange and sister Anne all spent Christmas together in Victoria BC, and as usual were unable to resist their inclination to snap pictures of murals.

The two shown below are on silk and hang in the famous Bengal Room at The Empress Hotel at Victoria Harbour, British Columbia. The theme of historical Bengal is carried throughout the timbered, club styled room with two Punka fans on the ceiling and tiger skins on the walls. It commemorates the visit to the hotel by the rulers of Bengal in the 1930s.

The Bengal Room also has the added distinction of serving the finest Lowland Scottish single malt in the world, Glenkinchie, as matter of course.

A splendid night out and a hotel and venue always to be commended.
