Stanley Mills Exhibition of Scottish Diaspora Tapestry Opens for 3 months
HES Welcomes Scottish Diaspora Tapestry to Stanley Mills near Perth
If our panels could talk, they'd have many an extra tale to tell! They've toured the globe since 2014, been seen by over 250,000 admirers in all climates from Iceland and Montreal to Tasmania and Otago, seen one of themselves stolen from St Giles in Edinburgh but thankfully returned ... and Yes, they've been back and across Scotland since March 2017. Already this year, 2018, they've been ferried across to Dunoon, south of the Border to Carlisle and now they're on the banks of the Tay for three months in the quite extraordinary, restored, Stanley Mills - Scottish cotton mills on the east coast established by the Duke of Atholl in times when the raw American cotton made its way by pack horse from Glasgow in the west!
The exhibition runs until Thursday June 28th.
