Colonel Gardiner most gratefully confirms receipt of your Donation of 56p ...

... and will be reclaiming 14p [25P in every £] from HMRC under Gift Aid provisions.

This is perhaps thus far our most unexpected and unusual donation. The money box shown below had been opened and the 56p contents placed on the grass to the north of the Colonel's Memorial Obelisk.

The can opener with which it had clearly / cleanly been opened lay nearby.
