It was a good Tennent's Scottish Cup run last year for Preston Athletic, the second year they wore the Prestoungrange Gothenburg shirts ... and although we went out to eventual Cup Finalists Gretna 6-2 playing well at Pennypit that was no disgrace. No other team scored more than one goal against Gretna as it went all the way to the Tennent's Scottish Cup Final.

This is our third sponsoring year. Preston Athletic are once again through to the 1st Round of the Tennent's Scottish Cup having taken out Dulbeattie; but today we also took out Edinburgh City 2-1 in a replay to reach the Finals of the Scottish Qualifying Cup for the first time ever and will be playing there against Annan.

The rematch against Edinburgh City came after last week's 1-1 draw and was played at Meadowbank.

The 1st Round of the Tennent's Scottish Cup, announced last Thursday, sees us matched against Stenhousemuir at home on November 18th.
