Awards Keep A-Flowing: Lothians CAMRA Pub of The Year 2006
The Prestoungrange Gothenburg has been declared: 2006 Lothian Pub of the Year
What more could we ask? Our sincere thanks to all the CAMRA members who visited us at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg in 2004/ 2006 and resolved to nominate and vote us as the Three Lothians Counties Pub of the Year 2006. And the news gets even better that we have been further voted as Overall 2006 Winner for Edinburgh, Borders and The Lothians. On June 14th the Award Plaque Arrived amid much celebration.
Its a lot to live up to, and affords no room to rest on such laurels. After all the only way to go from the top is parallel or downwardly vertical so we know we must stay on our mettle. But its great to know all the hard work, and there has been good measure of that from 30+ staff, led most particularly by Craig Allan our Head Brewer and Steven Cross the James Fewell Bar Supremo [and the invisible but not insubstantial investors at The Goth], is so widely appreciated.

P.S. Maybe we should seek Royal patronage? Seems HRH The Duke of Rothesay has a taste for the ales.
P.P.S. And before even that thought BEER, the monthly from CAMRA dedicated its front and rear outside pages of its March 2006 issue to telling out our daring dos at The Gothenburg.
