Honesty's a virtue, is it not?
Ever since the Prestonpans Tapestry was completed at 104 metres [ + title panel = 105 ] in July 2010 we have suggested we are probably the longest tapestry in the world. The evidence is now here to see on the internet that we're beaten for length in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
The truly beautiful Keiskamma Tapestry, also modelled on Bayeux telling the history of the Eastern Cape, reaches to a full 120 metres. Today it hangs in the Parliament in Cape Town.
