Pinkie Comes First ... 'twas 1547 ... and September 10th ...

The Rough Wooing's Battle at Pinkie Cleuch recalled

The Heritage Battle Trust in Prestonpans is delighted to report that the recently formed Pinkie Battlefield Group in Musselburgh is conducting two Walks this year the first on Saturday September 11th. All interested in participating should call 01620 827408 or email bookings@eastlothian.gov.uk

BBC Radio 4 has also broadcast the battle story on Tuesday at 4pm and it can be retrieved on the internet [it's 20 minutes into the 30 minute programme Making History.
