Craig Alan brews Fowler's Demolition Ale
Fowler's Ales Drunk Again Last Week in The Pans!
As the press cutting below tells out, Fowler's Ales, 80/- and Porter to be precise, were drunk again - some dozen casks or so - last week at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg.

Craig Allen's ancestors worked with Fowler's for two generations so it was no surprise that he was as indignant as the rest of the community when Lidl wantonly destroyed the Auld Fowler's HQ. So he used his weekend leave from Black Isle Brewery to help some of his BrewSet Graduates create the Demolition Ales as reported. And by all accounts it was very greatly appreciated.
Green Shoots/ White Hopes?
There are the beginnings it can now be reported of a co-operative of 'young' and 'not so young' brewers who are sorting out a business plan to get the microbrewery working regularly again and making sufficient to bottle as well. Nothing immediate but in no way is it ever planned to abandon the determination to brew and brew again those old recipes that were famed across the nation - including of course the fabled Wee Heavie once in a while.
Watch this space then ..... and if you are a wannabe or already accomplished brewer looking to participate in the co-operative pattern emerging, please get in touch with Anne Taylor or Carol Black at The Gothenburg on 01875 819922.
