Half Marathon a Winner [in the rain]

Grant and Julie Aitken's dream Fulfiled

Grant and Julie have been planning to get the Prestonpans Half Marathon back into the Scottish Athletics Calendar for many a year, and now they has succeeded with sponsorship from David Wilson Homes.

More than 100 runners arrived under Starter's Orders notwithstanding wet weather and 98 completed the course. And for those who required additional water as they ran, Lidl's kindly made provision.

The winner, Russian Aleksandr Federov, impressively came home just 1 hour 14 minutes and 30 seconds from the off and the lady winner, Jill Morrow, 7 minutes 11 seconds later. The full report is given below.
