Onward to Derby ...
After Victory at Prestonpans The 'Dream' Moves to Derby
For all who know the history of the '45 well, the Derby Moment at the start of December 1745 is pivotal. It was the time when Bonnie Prince Charlie arriving on the 4th was convinced by the 6th a majority of his supporters in Council that the Campaign should return to Scotland for the winter rather than continuing the final 120 miles to London.
The Trustees of the Heritage Trust are intent upon making that same journey this coming December, and having the same debate. The Library of Exeter House where the Prince's fateful meeting took place has been reserved. Do we go forward or not?
