Auld Fowler's HQ Was Destroyed by Lidl One Year Ago!

April 21st we're commemorating with a Fowler's Wee Heavie and More .... but you can have a first look at the dvd Eric Robinson made the day Auld Fowler's HQ came tumbling down

The Eric Robinson dvd will be showing regularly [and on request] at The Gothenburg from 12 noon till 10.30 pm on Wednesday April 21st, when the first anniversary of the building's destruction is commemorated - and Fowler's Ales as brewed hereabouts these days by Roddy Beveridge are properly celebrated.

If you can't wait or can't make it, take a look now:

THE VIDEO CLIP ERIC ROBINSON MADE

Iain Gray MSP sends his Greetings and shares our Optimism about the Coastal Regeneration Initatives now in hand which he is chairing for us ....

"I am very sorry I cannot be at the opening of the Auld Fowler's Gate. The demolition of the Auld Fowler's HQ/ Coeval Building was a shocking act by LIDL - an act of contempt for the very community who are their customers. I am delighted that some memorabilia was saved as a symbol of the great industrial past of the Pans. The anger at the demolition was one of the things which led to the formation of the Coastal Regeneration Forum, so hopefully we can create something constructive out of the vandalism of April 24th 2009 - Iain Gray"

The Auld Fowler's Gate and Signage will be officially unveiled and re-opened at 6 pm

Fowler's will be serving and in action from 12 noon as the Gothenburg opens. 'Best Pub Grub in East Lothian' will be served throughout the day and at 6 p.m. the restored Fowler's HQ Gate will be opened. From 7.30 p.m. Tom Ewing and others will be making their customary music and song ... be sure to join us.

And if you have memorabilia of your own - artefacts or stories - bring them too!
