How the Tapestry Was Designed & Embroidered

More than 200 embroiderers worked over 25,000 hours from January to June 2010 to create the 104 X 1 metre panels. They have created the longest tapestry in the world.

They used the news reports on this website to share their activities across Scotland and further afield.

Their labour of love has been described and analysed in the book of the Tapestry published in July 2010. DVD material has also been collected as the artwork was prepared, right through to completion.
