Comic Book Legend Alan Grant in The Pans

Alan Grant at Preston-Pandemonium: November 4th

Nigel Barker's initiative to convene the 1st Scottish Comics Fair in the summer which attracted over 100 visitors to The Prestoungrange Gothenburg looks set to break its own record on November 4th when famous Scot Alan Grant comes to town. That's the date of Nigel's 2nd Scottish Fair and its at The Goth from 11 am till 3pm.

Alan has created thousands of editions of iconic DC Comics for Batman and Judge Dredd as well as the Lobo comic. He is also author of forthcoming Kidnapped, a graphic comic version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic with Cam Kennedy. It's a significant element of UNESCO's Edinburgh City of Literature programme for 2007.

Radio Scotland's Arts Cafe will be recording on the day for presentation on air the following Thursday.

Support for these Fairs comes from a wide cross section of the community in the Pans and widely across Scotland, and in particular the Arts Festival which encourages every form of art - and that definitely includes comics! They are not to be missed.
