Wiles Bus back on The Highway

Normal Service Has Been Resumed after 6000 Days

The last Wiles bus ran on December 31st 1989. Annette Gilroy, local historian was there, indeed she was at the time a director of the company and wrote the story of its rise decline and closure in Tales of The Pans.

June 1st Sees Wiles Outside The Prestoungrange Gothenburg Once More

The first Wiles vehicles together offered 17 passenger seats as today's new bus does. They were a beautiful Model T taxi and an open top charabanc - both made by Ford. Today's TransitBus is also made by Ford - who else? And the livery is readily recognisable by everyone in The Pans over 35.

The bus is solely for the convenience of GothMembers and their youngsters [and all can join]. It will facilitate all manner of GothMember excursions just as the old Wiles' service did. No fares will be payable but one and all are widely expected voluntarily to suppport the Arts Festival Charity which has made this living history possible! Read some details below, and if you have an excursion in mind for up to 17 GothMembers ... let's go.

P.S. It has already been suggested that a Cow Parade Excursion to Edinburgh to see the other 100 Cows should be an early priority.
