RBS 6 Nations Trophy visits Preston Lodge RFC - 18.00 hrs. Wednesday 22nd February. It's a BIG NIGHT @ The Goth in Prestonpans

The Goth is no Stranger to Rugby Greats, but this is something EXTRA SPECIAL!

Before today's Prestoungrange Gothenburg came back into life in 2004, the Goth was home to John Murray and his family including Scotland's most capped player Scott Murray - [he reached 87 in March 2007 but was overhauled in June 2008]. As such, rugby is in the blood hereabouts. The Goth was delighted for three years recently to support PL RFC's Youth Initiatives. More than that, it plays host/ in loco ClubHouse for PL RFC Club these days ...

And just what a season PL has had in 2011/ 2012!

After last week's victory over Lismore, it's 16 wins in 16 games with an incredible points tally at the top of the Division. So it's no surprise that another reward is acomin' to the Club, already SRU Club of the Month January 2012!

Specifically it takes the form of the display of the RBS 6 Nations Trophy at the ClubHouse - the Prestoungrange Gothenburg, this coming Wednesday. Kick Off 18.00. More than that's there's a Q&A session with Andy Nicol, Chris Paterson [who overtook Scott's title in 2008!] and others.

Tickets costing £10 per person [including Light Supper] are available from The Gothenburg and Links Garage.
