Delighted to be on display at Cockenzie House

The Prestonpans Tapestry has been 'resting' during January in Artist Andrew Crummy's studio, receiving needed TLC. It appears on display again on home territory in Cockenzie to coincide with half term time. It's accessible both weekends - February 11th & 12th and February 18th & 19th.

Opening Times: 11am to 4pm
Admission*: Adults £1, children under 16 free

What’s to see?

◦The 105 metre long Prestonpans Tapestry tells the story of
Bonnie Prince Charlie’s journey from France to Victory at Prestonpans in 1745.

The story unfolds in instalments in the rooms of Cockenzie House.

◦Barn Cafe will be open with tasty treats

◦A variety of crafts with a flavour of Valentine Day trimmings!

+ The Tapestry's full range of history/ design books, colouring books, jig saws, CD/ DVDs, tea towels, mugs, pens and more will also be available.

Come along for a great day and view the amazing Tapestry before it heads off on an international tour to France and Canada ...

*Admission fee goes towards improving future events at Cockenzie House and The Prestonpans Tapestry ..

... and here's how local Cockenzie painter Andrew Hillhouse recalls the Surrender by the Redcoats to The Prince in 1745!
