Size Matters? Seize Our Moment Then for The Prestonpans Tapestry

They say Glory is but a Passing Cloud ..

So we should not be overly surprised that south of the Borders a stunning attempt to stitch their way to maximum length is being funded by the Lottery and supported by many a volunteer. All to be completed by the Olympic Games in 2012.

So that gives our own Prestonpans tapestry just a wee moment in history where we can [we believe] legitimately claim to be the longest tapestry in the world @ 104 metres [+ 2 extra apocraphal metres to be strictly accurate!]



Seems the Apocalypse had it on us until sections got lost, but all's fair in love and the apocalypse we assume! And Bayeux, Overlord and the Quakers are way shorter.
