Excellent etching of the epic 'Skirmish Beneath the Thorntree'

Another Battle Etching Uncovered ....

This excellent etching shows the thorntree beneath which Colonel Gardiner was mortally wounded on September 21st 1745. Acquired on ebay from the USA, it joins the burgeoning collection of etchings the Trust holds for the community.

The dragoons seem to be showing more vigour in their conduct in battle than is traditionally accorded!
