100 Paintings celebrate Gothenburg Centenary and More

July Exhibition becomes December Gift Book

When Linda Fabiani, Scotland's Minister of Culture, visited The Pans on July 23rd 2008 to award the Burriss Bursaries and to honour The Gothenburg's Centenary, an Exhibition of 100 paintings was given by the Arts Club.



Now, just in time for Christmas the book of that Exhibition is published, and elegant it looks. With more than 50 artists included it also tells the 5 year tale of the Arts Club itself which has grown from the early interest in mural painting. Up to 100 members have picked up their brushes over that period and exhibitions at The Gothenburg are these days almost continuous.
