The mFAQ @ Scottish Diaspora Tapestry Exhibitions? Are my Clan or Family represented ....

Jenny Bruce quick to reply on Radio in Ottawa!

Jenny Bruce, who has been directing the Scottish Diaspora Tour across the globe since October 2015 was asked, yet again, this week on 1310 RadioNews in Ottawa: What's the most frequent question you get asked? As the heading here shows, as a veteran of a score of exhibitions hosted by our own embroiderers in their home communities, she had a ready answer: The mFAQ is - Are my Clan or Family Name depicted anywhere?

It's not a question we had planned for although with hindsight it's obvious! Anyway, on her own initiative aided and abetted in Ottawa by Heather Theoret of The Scottish Society of Ottawa, the Index has now been complied. They don't claim perfection but it's meeting the need! And for us all in future, their best shot is tabled below and will be laminated and presented at future exhibitions.

The most talking and stitching about themselves globally seem to be The Campbells [7] - ahead maybe, but well outnumbered in any battle by [6] each of the MacDonalds and the Scotts! The Muirs have [6] also, but four are for that one great man alone, John. Make what you will of that conclusion.
