MONTHS OF PLANNING PRODUCE EXCELLENT PROGRAMME

The planning is over and the Bowen Schedule is now published for all to sign up for. Karl Schutz is amongst those attending from Canada along with Lil Hardy who first suggested a Bowen Murals Society when living in the town.

Local Australian Federal Senator De-Anne Kelly , appointed last month as Minister of Veterans Affairs in John Howard's Government, will be performing the Opening Ceremonies and The Mayor of Bowen is giving maximum support as well.

The Gathering is designed to afford maximum interaction amongst those attending, and plans are in hand to get delegates from across the Pacfic Region including its far eastern shores in the USA. And the Scots have already confirmed they will be there too bringing a European flavour. N.B. Two days of relaxation are included during the week to gain a better appreciation of the area's many tourism attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef and much more besides.
