Gympie in Queensland Gives Fine Honours

Outstanding Landscaping and Mosaic for War Memorials

Most towns and cities around the globe have memorials to their war dead and each year remembrance ceremonies and services take place. And within the Global Association a number of Societies are including murals that retell the stories of heroism and sacrifice - some as immediate adjuncts to the memorials themslves. Vernon British Columbia in particular accomplished this as reported recently.

Gympie, a former gold mining town in Queensland Australia, has set in train its own unique artistic approach shown below. Close by the former premises of the English, Scottish and Australian Bank stands Memorial Lane where plaques and mosaics are being produced in sequence with the proceeds of a Refurbishment Appeal that can be seen to be half way to its target already.
