Eddie Reader Came to Town

Steven Cross Gives The Pans a Per-er-er-er-fect Day

Steven Cross, Events Manager Extraordinaire at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg and more besides always dreamt of arranging Music Festivals and serving his own Real Ales. And on June 3rd 2006 his dream came true once again working with top of the bill Eddi Reader and Fowler's Brewer Craig Allan.

Eddi carried the huge crowd with her for the 'Perfect' Day and Craig brewed more real ale than in his lifetime including the relaunch of the Wee Heavie in Prestonpans after 45 years ... which has given it its name, The 45 Wee Heavie. And it would be churlish not to report that Foster's Lager also backed the entire event magnificently; and that many other bands including local heroes Funkstar were there to entertain and delight us all.

MeadowMill has proved to be the ideal venue and an event that attracted 250 + in 2005, nigh on 1000 in 2006 is now scheduled to move forward again with major headline music acts and national advertising for 2007. And who knows what for Centenary Year 2008 ... watch this space!
