St Mary's Cathedral [2] Welcomes The Prestonpans Tapestry Back

Yes, we're back again at St Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh for 3 months this summer ...

N.B. Please note that our poster below fails to show that during the Edinburgh Fringe several lunchtime concerts and events are arranged at St Mary's Cathedral. As such visitors should not seek to view the Tapestry on Monday/ Saturday between 1pm and 2 pm. On Sunday visitors can indeed come anytime between 12 noon and 3pm.

The Tapestry Exhibition at St Mary's Cathedral in 2011 was so successful that the Trustees could not resist the kindest of invitations to return there again this year. From June 4th until August 31st it will once again be readily accessible to thousands more visitors [we've already logged 120,000+] - as well as many returnees! As in 2011 it comes with an impressive array of 'events' and 'activities' as shown below and will be an integral part of the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Click on images above & below to enlarge - the better to read or print out!

There are already plenty of group bookings for guided tours and school parties during June. Any group wishing to take advantage of this service please be in touch with ajohnston@battleofprestonpans1745.org - by email.

Volunteer staffers are already growing in numbers but we seldom have too many, so if any are reading here with some time to help, please be in touch - also with ajohnston@battleofprestonpans1745.org - by email.
