The Day Auld Fowler's Came Tumbling Down!

April 24th 2009 - not a Red Letter Day for Fowler's

As chance would have it, Eric Robinson was visiting the Pans on April 24th 2009 to discuss the town planning genius of Scotsman Sir Patrick Geddes - Place, Work, Folk - and too explore how the Arts Festival's activities since 1997 had impacted on our community.

That was the day Lidl's carrtied out the Demolition of the Auld Fowler's HQ with the full consent of East Lothian Council despite the total oppoistion of the community of Prestonpans.

As Chair of the failed 'Community-Right-to-Buy' Campaign against demolition, Gordon Prestoungrange took Eric Robinson down to the site and expressed the campaign's opinions to the sound of crashing stonework.
