Now Cuthill's Telling Tales

Looks like the spine of a novel, and so it is!

From July 23rd this year a new publishing imprint appears in Scotland, named after this town's Cuthill area and its Park in particular.

Cuthill of old was a grand community, with its own thriving school and Lucky Vints tavern serving the best fish you could get and Fowler's Ales - since the '45. Today it's somewhat different but the Friends of Cuthill Park are making sure it lives again with more than £100,000 to spend, and so is the new imprint.

Local Cuthill artist, Tom Ewing, has created the logo at the right hand end of the spine of Sharon Dabell's new book shown here. And Andrew Crummy, Convenor of Arts hereabouts created the dust jacket [above and below].

The title goes on sale on July 22nd when the author will be in town and so will the nation's Minister of Culture - they can't stay away can they. Not long ago Linda Fabiani's predecessor Patricia Ferguson came here too - twice! We're 'panning kultur' nowadays perhaps. Special offer price all day July 23rd at The Gothenburg for Sharon's first novel and signed to boot.[P.S. Wish Sharon good luck ,... pictured here July 23rd with The Minister!]
