Prestonpans Pottery Still a Winner ... and Greek Party Night Beckons

Hundreds Visit Pottery Exhibition and Many More Expected

Thanks to the widespread community involvement at the Prestonpans Pottery Road Show in March, and excellent publicity, the biggest ever Prestonpans Pottery Exhibition & its Definitive Book Launch is seeing a multitude of fascinated visitors through the doors of St Andrew's Episcopal Church Hall on Ayres Wynd.

Graeme Cruickshank, Curator for the Exhibition, and Organiser Gillian Hart of the Prestoungrange Arts Festival, both report visitor levels well beyond their expectations. And the anticipated delight even surprise at this great heritage - which they were sure would arise - is truly manifest. Hundreds have already visited and many more are expected over the three further weeks till September 29th.

John Burns Snr, pictured below in both East Lothian weekly newspapers with Graeme Cruickshank, has been a lifelong collector.

Greek Party Night ... and Plate Throwing

John Burns Jnr has kindly provided 100 cracked and chipped non-Prestonpans plates for the special 'Thank You' Greek Party Night at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg on September 19th organised by the Prestoungrange Arts Festival. Greek music, dancing maybe and competitive Greek plate throwing will all complement the Ouzo.
